FOUNDER & PRINCIPAL DESIGNER
Burcu
Burcu Ercetin is the founder and principal designer of Design & Curations, where her passion for creating serene, livable homes meets over 15 years of professional experience. With a background in marketing and the perspective of a mother of two, she balances elevated design with the realities of everyday life.
Before founding Design & Curations, Burcu spent over a decade at The Coca-Cola Company, most recently as Global Brand Director for Brand Coca-Cola. Her experience shaping global brand strategy taught her to observe how people live, translate insights into thoughtful solutions, and communicate with clarity, skills she now brings to every interior design project.
From a more personal side, rooted in her Mediterranean heritage, Burcu grew up surrounded by creativity: her father, a civil engineer, and her grandfather, a marble artisan, instilled an early appreciation for craftsmanship, renovation, and timeless design.
Her journey into interiors formally began in 2021, when she enrolled in the Interior Design Institute while pregnant with her second child. Her first full-home renovation, the family’s summer house — marked the start of Design & Curations.
Today, alongside her husband Alper, Operations Partner, she leads a team transforming homes across Atlanta with thoughtful, approachable, and refined design.
And yes — it’s pronounced Bur-Ju! Now you know.
OPERATIONS PARTNER
Alper
Alper is Burcu’s partner in both life and work, bringing extensive project management expertise to Design & Curations. Before joining the studio, he held program director and program management roles at Apple and renowned creative agencies, gaining deep experience in operations, strategy, and execution.
As Operations Partner and Co-Owner, Alper oversees everything from onboarding and procurement to implementation and installation, making sure every project runs smoothly and efficiently. His role allows Burcu and the design team to focus on what they do best - designing beautiful, elevated spaces.
Originally from the Aegean coast of Turkiye (Izmir), Alper shares the studio’s love for calm, timeless design, while adding his own flair with bold, modern accents. His goal is simple: to create a seamless, stress-free experience for every client through clear communication and thoughtful project management.

The Heart of Design & Curations Is Rooted in Love
At Design & Curations, we believe that the key to creating beautiful spaces lies in our deep-rooted family values. Inspired by my amazing husband and our two incredible children, Leo and Lara, their love and unwavering support are what keep my creative fire burning bright.
My passion for design is deeply shaped by my Mediterranean roots, where life revolves around connection, authenticity, and beauty in simplicity.
Growing up, I was surrounded by the world of design and creation. My father, a civil engineer, often had building plans spread across the table, while my grandfather, a marble artisan, taught me to appreciate craftsmanship, texture, and timeless feel. Those early memories of renovation sites, natural stone, and creativity in motion became the foundation of how I see and feel design today.
With each project, I pour my heart and soul into creating spaces that are not only beautiful but also filled with personal touches that resonate with the unique personalities of my clients and their families.
As we navigate the rollercoaster of building our dream business (now with Alper as co-owner), our family is always by our side, lifting us, grounding us, and giving us the strength to keep creating from the heart.
