THE WHO

FOUNDER & PRINCIPAL DESIGNER

Burcu

Burcu Ercetin is the founder and principal designer of Design & Curations, an award-winning boutique interior design studio based in Atlanta. Recognized by Modern Luxury Interiors as “Best Transitional Designer, Atlanta,” Burcu is known for creating calm, cozy, and collected homes that balance elevated aesthetics with real-life functionality.

Before founding the studio, Burcu spent over 15 years in marketing and corporate leadership at The Coca-Cola Company, most recently as Global Brand Director for Brand Coca-Cola. Her background in global brand strategy continues to shape her thoughtful, human-centered approach to design and client experience.

Rooted in her Mediterranean heritage, Burcu grew up surrounded by creativity and craftsmanship. Inspired by her father, a civil engineer, and her grandfather, a marble artisan, she developed an early appreciation for renovation, timeless materials, and beautifully lived-in spaces.

Her journey into interiors formally began in 2021 while pregnant with her second child, when she enrolled in the Interior Design Institute. What started with renovating and furnishing the family’s summer home gradually evolved into Design & Curations.

Today, alongside her husband and Operations Partner, Alper, Burcu leads a growing team specializing in renovations, new builds, and thoughtfully curated interiors rooted in warmth, livability, and elevated design.

And yes — it’s pronounced Bur-Ju.

Alper

Alper Ercetin is the Operations Partner and Co-Owner of Design & Curations, bringing extensive experience in project management, operations, and strategic execution to the studio.

Before joining Design & Curations full-time, he held leadership roles at Apple and internationally recognized creative agencies, managing complex programs and cross-functional teams.

At Design & Curations, Alper oversees onboarding, procurement, implementation, and installations — ensuring every project is executed with clarity, organization, and precision. His operational leadership allows the design team to focus fully on creating elevated, thoughtfully curated spaces.

Originally from the Aegean coast of Türkiye, Alper shares the studio’s appreciation for calm, timeless interiors while bringing his own perspective through bold contrasts and modern details.

His approach is rooted in clear communication, seamless execution, and creating a highly organized experience for every client.

THE WHY

The Heart of Design & Curations Is Rooted in Love

At Design & Curations, we believe that the key to creating beautiful spaces lies in our deep-rooted family values. Inspired by my amazing husband and our two incredible children, Leo and Lara, their love and unwavering support are what keep my creative fire burning bright.

My passion for design is deeply shaped by my Mediterranean roots, where life revolves around connection, authenticity, and beauty in simplicity.

Growing up, I was surrounded by the world of design and creation. My father, a civil engineer, often had building plans spread across the table, while my grandfather, a marble artisan, taught me to appreciate craftsmanship, texture, and timeless feel. Those early memories of renovation sites, natural stone, and creativity in motion became the foundation of how I see and feel design today.

With each project, I pour my heart and soul into creating spaces that are not only beautiful but also filled with personal touches that resonate with the unique personalities of my clients and their families.

As we navigate the rollercoaster of building our dream business (now with Alper as co-owner), our family is always by our side, lifting us, grounding us, and giving us the strength to keep creating from the heart.
