Today we’re showing off this stunning transformation for our #ProjectHillpine Dry Bar.

This dry bar gave me the feeling of stepping into a cozy French wine bar. Here’s how we accomplished this with minimal renovation ⬇️

• Kept the Taj Mahal stone
• Added antique mirror mosaic tile
• Installed custom brass + glass shelving
• Added a fluted vent detail that brings consistency from the living room fireplace

This mini renovation is so special to us because we love proving how small changes can make a huge impact in your home!

This space is now soft and inviting and, while small, so very charming.

Features for this breakfast area:
• 42” round table (ideal size for the space)
• Cane-back chairs (to add softness)
• Artistic pendant above the table (gives sculptural vibes)

If you’ve been here awhile, you’ve probably noticed them appearing in most of our projects, from built-ins to entryways, and even dry bars.

We often incorporate three distinct arch styles:
• Round Arch
• Segmental Arch
• Three-Centered Arch

It has been just over three years since I officially started DnC, and one year since we transitioned into a full-service interior design studio. Being recognized as a “Designer to Watch” by Modern Luxury was truly a highlight of 2025 and a beautiful affirmation to keep following our dream.

Changing careers in my late thirties was a big leap (at times scary one), and I feel incredibly fortunate to work with such a wonderful team — @implicitdesign Alexis, and @rachaelwatts_id Rachael, and my best friend Alper. Even before them joining, It started as me and Sam, she is in behind the scenes, making our lives sooo much easier, thank you @snsocialco

I’m deeply thankful for our clients, friends, and community whose support and encouragement carried us here. So many of you voted for us, and it still feels surreal to say, “I can’t believe I get to do this for a living.”

Being here, walking through everyday, real, tactile, and smelling faintly of fresh trees.

Even the gloomy fall sky felt kind today. And don’t worry, that’s Alexis (2nd and 3rd pic), our associate designer, just deep in designer thoughts. I promise she is fine. lol.
