Interior Design Intern / Part-Time Design Assistant
📍 Marietta, GA (Hybrid)
We are looking for a talented and motivated Interior Design Intern to support our growing interior design studio on a project-by-project basis.
This role is ideal for a final-year interior design student who already has strong technical skills and wants meaningful, hands-on experience working on luxury residential renovations, new builds, and furnishing projects.
Role Overview
The Interior Design Intern / Part-Time Design Assistant will work closely with our design team to support space planning, technical drawings, 3D modeling, renderings, material organization, and project documentation. This is a project-based, hybrid position based in Marietta, Georgia.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Design & Drafting
· Create and update detailed SketchUp models
· Produce high-quality Enscape renderings
· Assist with floor plans, elevations, millwork drawings, and other technical documentation
· Translate design concepts into clear and accurate drawings
· Support the preparation of construction and specification documents
· Update drawings and models based on internal and client feedback
Design & Project Support
· Assist with space planning, material selections, and finish specifications
· Support the preparation of client design presentations
· Organize product information, specifications, and project documentation
· Assist the design team with active renovation, new-build, and furnishing projects
· Participate in team reviews and project coordination as needed
Sample Library & Inventory
· Organize and maintain the studio’s sample archive
· Manage the intake, labeling, categorization, and storage of new samples
· Maintain accurate sample and material inventory records
· Assist with pulling, returning, and organizing samples for client presentations
Qualifications
· Currently completing the final year or recent graduate of an Interior Design, or related degree program
· Strong working knowledge of SketchUp and Enscape from day one
· Comfortable with technical design, drafting, elevations, and construction-related details
· Strong spatial planning and visualization skills
· Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
· Proactive, dependable, and resourceful
· Collaborative and comfortable working within a fast-paced team
· Growth mindset and openness to learning, feedback, and new responsibilities
· Ability to manage deadlines and communicate clearly
