What happens when Parisian elegance meets Asian calm, right in the heart of Atlanta?
Imagine walking into your home and it feels like you—in the best version of your story. That’s what this project was all about.
It started with a phone call from an old colleague. She was ready to reimagine her main floor, and she wanted support from someone who could bring together all the layers of her life and experiences—her love for Parisian charm, her time living in Cambodia, and her modern-day Atlanta lifestyle.
If you’re dreaming of a main floor renovation that blends who you are with how you want to feel in your home, you’ll love this story.
Now, here we will unpack the behind-the-scenes and the story for each room, including the link to the SOURCES! yes!
Let's go.
We Always Start With You
As an interior designer based in Atlanta, I always begin with listening.
We reviewed her Pinterest board together, and it was like flipping through pages of her life. East Asian influences, natural textures, European architecture, layered fabrics, artful restraint. It gave us direction for a design that was both curated and deeply personal.
We imagined a mood: earthy olive greens, warm oak, natural linen, and tactile materials like rattan and boucle. A palette of calm neutrals—cream, rust, soft black—designed to ground the space while adding subtle sophistication.
A Room-by-Room Breakdown: A full home refresh from the foyer to the living room
The Foyer: A Confident First Impression

We knew we wanted that wow moment as soon as you walked in. So we replaced the flooring with bold checkered tiles and brought in a round pedestal table with warm wood tones, topped by a large wavy mirror that bounced light and added depth. The final layer? A sculptural chandelier that instantly elevated the entry.

The Dining Lounge: Where Calm Meets Conversation

This space had great bones, but needed warmth. We:
Painted the fireplace in a moody black to anchor the space
Installed a custom channeled banquette for café-style dining
Chose classic café chairs and a rattan chandelier to layer in texture
Created a cozy conversation area by the fire with swivel chairs perfect for winter evenings or morning coffee

The Living Room: Relaxed, Refined, and Dog-Friendly

She already had a stunning sofa we loved—so we worked with it, not against it. We added:
Deep olive velvet armchairs for richness
A rattan-detailed light fixture to echo the foyer
A nested marble coffee table—flexible and sculptural
A washable rug that can handle both entertaining and her adorable dog
This room is a great example of what we call elevated comfort—a space that works beautifully for real life, but feels curated, layered, and timeless.
Why This Project Stands Out
What made this home refresh so special wasn’t just the mix of textures or perfect paint shades—it was the intention behind every choice.
And you can create this change even without a big costly renovation. Small touches like, paint, tiles, rugs, light fixtures will make a BIG impact.
And the fact that our client brought heart, history, and curiosity into the process was so special. We helped translate that into a space that not only looks stunning but feels like her. That’s our sweet spot as a studio—home refurnishing and renovation that blends personality with polish.
