When we renovated our living room back in 2023, the goal was crystal clear: Organic modern meets neutral earthy palette, with a sprinkle of kid-friendly practicality and a whole lot of beauty. Now that we’ve lived in Green Ridge for two years, I thought it was time for some honest, no-filter reviews on the pieces we picked.

If you are wondering what our plan was and how we tackled all; I wrote about all of our renovation journey on the blog, and here you will find the living room details.
Now that we are 2 years in, here’s how they’ve really held up—spoiler: some are perfect 10s, some… not so much.

The Rug – 5/10
From Lulu & Georgia. I love the design and the thin kilim style—it’s easy to layer and has a relaxed vibe. But… it oxidized over time, and now has a yellow tint. Let’s just say it’s not aging as gracefully as I hoped. You can find similar ones here.
The Teddy Arm Chairs – 10/10
Oh, my heart. These chairs are deep, cozy, and hold their shape beautifully. They add texture, they invite you in, and they’re basically everyone’s favorite seat in the house. That one is no longer available, but I found a similar one here.
Cloud Coffee Table – 8/10
She’s a beauty—durable, low, rounded (hello, no sharp edges for little ones), and big enough for everyone to reach their snacks. But she’s also too heavy to move, which means switching out the rug under it? Nearly impossible. Shop here.

Big Art Over the Fireplace – 8/10
The dimensions and palette are spot-on for the space. But… it’s missing that personal connection. I chose it as a “fill-the-space” moment, and it worked. One day, though, I’d love something with more meaning to us.

The Pedestal in the Corner – 10/10
Drama, height, presence—it’s the corner’s crown jewel. Absolutely love how it elevates the whole room. Shop here.
The Swing Arm Sconce – 10/10
Flew in all the way from France. Honestly, it feels like a piece of art—its silhouette changes the mood in the room, and I fall in love with it every time I see it.
Swing arm sconce of my dreams: MARIANNE APPLIQUE DOUBLE If you want one easier to get, Visual Comfort has a very similar one - HERE.
So, there you have it—two years in, some wins, some lessons, and a whole lot of love for the space we created. Because at the end of the day, it’s not about perfection—it’s about how it makes you feel when you’re living in it every day.
